October 2025 is the beginning of a large scale Forest Mitigation Operation that will reduce wildfire fuels and enhance wildlife habitat.

The area around “Buffalo Rocks” on Trail #17 North will be affected by equipment and vehicles.

Park visitors please use caution and contact the Visitor Center with any concerns 719-687-2366
