Willow Fire Closure (CDT/Colorado Trail)

UPDATE 08/28/2026:

The sections of trail closed due to the Willow Fire have been reduced. This closure notice has been updated to reflect those changes.

The Willow fire ignited on the afternoon of Sunday, June 28, on the slopes of Mt. Massive west of Leadville, CO, and grew rapidly to roughly 1,100 acres with no containment. The fire perimeter now overlaps the Continental Divide Trail.
