The trail follows Major Creek and eventually climbs up steeply to the crest of the Sangre de Cristo range. At the crest, there’s opportunities to drop into Brush Creek Lakes or hike the ridge to climb some peaks. Lower sections of the creek lend themselves to fishing - attractions are 6-8” brookies and cutthroat trout.
