Tour of Peach Valley
Starting at Peach Parking
Start at Peach Valley Parking. A small area around the parking lot is “open riding”. Ride straight from the parking lot up to the starting waypoint on Candy Cane Loop. Use Candy Cane as a warm up and then connect over to Eagle Valley.
Eagle Valley is one of the most iconic trails in Peach Valley. Have fun picking your route in the technical canyon. Just know that hard enduro is not required, you should be able to pick your way through as an intermediate rider.
At the top of Eagle, take a left to jump over to Eagle Road. This is a super fun double track that will take you up to the edge of the Black Canyon National Park by connecting you to Red Rocks/Night Horse Trail. The view is awesome up there.
After that, jump onto Spikes Trail to head back down and complete the loop.
From there get back on Eagle Valley Trail and continue straight onto Sunset Rocks Trail. Follow Sunset to the end and then take a left onto Moonlight Mesa Trail.
Take Moonlight until you peel off left into Mystery Ditch. Enjoy the flow of Mystery until it reconnects to Moonlight. Take Moonlight until it meets up with Red Rocks and Slanty Bridge trails. Take a left to jump onto Red Rocks.
Follow Red Rocks all the way until it turns into Donkey Trail. Follow Donkey to the end. From there, make a right onto Tootie/Elephant Skin Road. Follow Tootie until it intersects with Elephant Ridge Trail.
Follow Elephant Ridge to the “Y” and then take the right to get onto Badlands Trail. Follow Badlands around to access the famous Monster Ditch Trail.
Watch the walls grow around you as you ride down into the canyon that is Monster Ditch. Enjoy the wall rides down to the bottom. Once you hit the bottom, DO NOT TURN AROUND! The map doesn’t show it, but you will climb the “V notch” up and out of the canyon bottom. If you look closely on the map, you can see where this trail connects with the end of Badlands Trail.
Once you’ve connected back with Badlands, ride until you meet up with Highway 2 Trail.
Use Highway 2 in order to head west toward the BLM boundary.
You’ll eventually ride next to a barbwire fence and will have to start to head south. Ride the unnamed trail that follows the boundary fence to the south until it makes a sharp left to the east and becomes Techno Ditch.
Enjoy another flowy section of trail up through Techno until you hit the 4 way intersection. Take a right to get back onto Elephant Ridge Trail.
Follow Elephant Ridge east until you make it to the turn off for Wonder Ditch. Follow Wonder Ditch until it meets a 4 way intersection. Take a right to head North and you’ll find yourself at the bottom of another Peach Valley icon called Big Bertha.
Enjoy some time watching each other try to make it to the top of Bertha. There are plenty of lines to take, so make sure you challenge yourself. When you’re done there, head up to Badlands and turn right to head back east.
Follow Badlands until you come to the “Y” with Slanty Bridges Trail. Take Slanty to head back north. Slanty will eventually meet back up with Moonlight.
Follow Moonlight all the way to the end, making sure you’re jogging northwest. The trails can get a little confusing in this area as there are a lot of intersections, but the main trail is usually pretty easy to spot. Moonlight will twist and turn and take you up and down hills all the way back to the Peach Valley parking lot.
