    Difficult

The Carpenter Peak Trail is a difficult 3.1 mile out and back trail that reaches the highest point in the park. The views from the top and along the trail make up for the effort required to reach the end. Beginning at the main park trailhead, it winds through the rock gardens before steeply climbing, though the views are great along the way. Note, later in the summer the vegetation along the trail can get overgrown so be sure to pay attention to the right path.
