This backpacking loop, also known as the Lost

Creek Wilderness Loop, takes you through forests

with an occasional gorgeous view. There are plenty

p

of great options for camping along the way. This

route requires a river crossing that can be tricky

depending on the water levels and trail conditions.

The section of trail between Bison Peak and

McCurdy Mountain has little shade and no water

sources, so it is a good idea to ill up before hiking

this stretch. This route is not recommended as a

winter adventure.

To get to the Lost Creek Trailhead, head to the Lost

Park Campground. Hike through the campground

and cross Terryall Creek on a footbridge. You may

see signs for Lizard Rock Trail #628. Take a left after

the footbridge and start the trail down the Terryall

Creek Valley.
