Quandary Peak

Quandary Peak is a popular 14er and is the highest mountain (and only 14er) in the Tenmile range. Although there are several routes to the summit of Quandary, the East Slopes/Quandary Trail is considered the standard route. There are also frequently mountain goats seen along this route.

Class: 1. The Quandary Trail/East Slopes route as well maintained trail from the trailhead to the summit.

Trailhead/Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky for Quandary depending on the time of year. Between June 14-September 14 2025 (in future years the dates may change) a reservation must be obtained online or a shuttle system used to access the parking lot. Outside of those dates you can park without a reservation but once its full, use a shuttle to access it. Both of these options require a fee. More information can be found at hikequandary.com
