The Loch is a beautiful lake reached via moderate ~2.75 mile trail. Beginning at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead, the trail passes Alberta Falls and continues to climb on moderate grades around the Glacier Knobs. At a junction ~2 miles from the trailhead, take a left and continue towards the Loch. The trail climbs somewhat steeply before leveling out and reaching the eastern shore of the lake. This is a great place to rest, relax, or drop a line for the many trout that call the Loch home. You can then continue up the trail towards Sky Pond or return to the trailhead the way you came. This area can be accessed all year but in the winter make sure you are aware of Avalanche danger and the cold/windy conditions of this area.

Note: The Glacier Gorge Trailhead can be very busy, filling most days. The park does provide a free shuttle service that includes the Glacier Gorge trailhead. Contact the park or check their website for more information on parking
