Mills Lake is a beautiful lake, with great views of Long’s Peak and other high peaks surrounding the Glacier Gorge area. Reached via moderate ~2.5 mile trail that steadily climbs from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. Along the way you pass Alberta Falls and several smaller waterfalls on Glacier Creek. Mills Lake is beautiful destination but for those interested, the trail continues for another ~2.5 miles to Black Lake and above. This area can be accessed all year but in the winter, make sure you are aware of avalanche dangers and the cold/windy conditions often found here.

Note: The Glacier Gorge Trailhead can be very busy, filling most days. The park does provide a free shuttle service that includes the Glacier Gorge trailhead. Contact the park or check their website for more information on parking
