Ouzel Lake is one a scenic  lakes in the Wild Basin area. It’s reached via moderate ~4.9 mile trail leaving from the Wild Basin trailhead. Along the way you pass the beautiful waterfalls of Ouzel Creek before reaching the eastern shore of Ouzel lake with unofficial trails along the rest of the lake.

This is normally done as a day hike but there are multiple backcountry sites along the route (make sure to check with park/website as reservations are required and usually sell out not long after being made public).

The Wild Basin Trailhead is located in the Wild Basin area in Southeast Rocky Mountain National Park (be sure to consult the website or the park directly for parking/entry information).
