Lone Pine Lake
Lone Pine Lake is a scenic alpine lakes in the East Inlet area of Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s reached via moderate ~5.1 mile trail leaving from the East Inlet trailhead. Along the way you pass the beautiful Adams Falls, beautiful views in the meadows (that often hold moose) along the trail, and beautiful views as you approach the lake. The trail reaches the southern shore of Lone Pine lake with the trail continuing to other beautiful lakes up higher.
This is normally done as a day hike but there are multiple backcountry sites along the route (make sure to check with park/website as reservations are required and usually sell out not long after being made public).
The East Inlet Trailhead is located near Grand Lake in Southwest Rocky Mountain National Park (be sure to consult the website or the park directly for parking/entry information).
