Ute Trail West

The Ute Trail West (on the Western side of trail ridge road alpine section) can either start at the Milner Pass Trailhead or the Alpine Visitor Center. It’s most often done by starting at the Alpine Visitor Center and you can go out and part way and back or the full 4 miles to Milner Pass. There are no shuttles running between the two places so you will need a car shuttle or return the full distance. The Ute trail is mostly in the alpine (except right after/before Milner Pass) so the views are great but be aware of the weather.
