The Little Yellowstone Canyon is an interesting Geological area formed by the Colorado River in the northern part of Rocky Mountain National Park. To reach it, you start at the Colorado River trailhead, which is along Trail Ridge Road. From there you mostly parallel the Colorado River until you get to the Canyon area, where you begin climbing through the forest. It’s a ~5.4 mile hike to this area with most of it being relatively flat until the end, when you climb to look over the canyon. This area is also very good for wildlife viewing and wildflowers in the summer.
