Grouse Mountain
Featured Route
Grouse Mountain is a short 0.5 mile out and back trail that leads to the highest point in Mueller State Park, the 9,843 foot Grouse Mountain. Near the summit of Grouse Mountain there are great views to east and of Pikes Peak area and if you continue to the end of the trail, there are great views to the south and west as well. This area does have many Aspen trees, so fall is a particularly nice time to visit.
Note from the trailhead and section that goes to the summit, pets/horses/bikes are not permitted. There are loop trails (such as Homestead or Cheeseman Ranch) where the regulations may be different so check before you go or with the park on what is allowed.
