Bridal Veil Falls

Featured Route

    Moderate

This moderate 3 mile out and back trail begins at the Cow Creek Trailhead and climbs (at times steadily and a little steeply) to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls. This northern section of the park is much less crowded than any of the trails along the Bear Lake corridor or Trail Ridge road so expect to find some solitude on this hike. Along the trail there are several smaller cascaded/waterfalls along Cow Creek but the star of this section is Bridal Veil falls itself. The trail alternates through open meadow and forest with some nice views along the way (there are a few pockets of Aspen that can be beautiful in the fall as well).

Although done as a day hike, there are several backcountry sites along the trail. Reservations are required and can fill up quickly so check the park’s website or contact the park for more information.
