James Peak Lake

Starting hike from location before typical road closure site. Gate closed until July 15. That adds some distance to the hike. I rated it difficult because of trail damage from rock slides makes it hard to get across.

We were about 0.3 miles from the lake when we hit our turn around time. We made it to the small pond downstream of James Peak Lake. There was an awesome waterfall there.
