American and Snow Lakes

American and Snow Lakes via the Michigan Ditch trail from the Lake Agnes Trailhead.  Distance shown is one way.

Once leaving the Michigan Ditch Trail, the route becomes much steeper and more difficult. The short trail from the west side of American Lakes up to Snow Lake is very difficult.

This is entirely wthin State Forest State Park, so Colorado state park rules apply.

Dogs must be on leash.

State park entry fees do apply. America the Beautiful or other passes for federal lands are not valid.

Fishing is permitted at both lakes, with a valid and current Colorado fishing license.
