Mountain Views and
Golden Aspens in the Fall

In the fall, this trail is popular for a good reason – golden aspen groves with sweeping mountain views. It is a mix of technical challenges, grueling changes in elevation, and smooth segments to  breathe while taking in the landscape.

The star of this ride is the Dyke Trail itself, downhill from Lake Irwin to the Horse Ranch Park Trailhead. Depicted is a full loop from the base, up the Kepler Pass and Irwin Roads, and then downhill on the trail. It is also popular to park at the base of Irwin Road for the same full loop. If aiming for just the thrill without the climb, take a car shuttle up to Irwin Lake.
