A lightly trafficked and challenging ascent, this route takes you up to the base of highest point in Lost Creek Wilderness. While not very steep at first, the incline increases and remains continuously challenging the entire way.

After taking the eastern fork onto the Brookside-McCurdy Trail, switchbacks lead up to the final saddle before the summit. A cairn marks the cutoff from the marked trail to the peak.

This route can be done as a day trip, leaving early enough in the morning, but is a more relaxing experience if spread over two days.

Be sure to adhere to wilderness restrictions and obtain the self issued permit, per USFS guidance
