The Homestead Trail all the way to the Grouse Mountain overlook (the high point in the park) is 5.25 mile out and back moderate trail. It has almost as much descent dropping into the creek valley before gently climbing to the base of Grouse Mountain. From there it is a steeper hike to the top but the views more than make up for it!

Passing through forest, creek valleys, open meadows with aspen trees, a historic cabin, and the highest summit in the park make for a varied and rewarding walk though the park.
