Measured mileage per GPS is 8.88 miles (COTREX tends to underestimate mileage a bit).

A Colorado State Parks Pass (per vehicle, daily or annual) for Mueller State Park, AND a hunting, fishing or State Wildlife Area Pass, for each person 16 years of age or older is required to do this hike. You can purchase passes for both areas at the Mueller SP Visitors Center.

Dogs are not permitted anywhere on this hike. Bikes are allowed in Mueller State Park, but not in Dome Rock (you can tie them up at the gate that separates the two properties). No overnight camping is allowed on any of the trails on this hike.  This hike has 2400’ of elevation ascent and descent. It is easiest when done clockwise, as outlined in this route.

Weather permitting, this hike is open all year.
