Easy Un-Groomed Ski Touring Near Paonia

Follow the groomed road until an obvious clearing about 1 miles from the winter trailhead. At this point, you will see a USFS sign on the left and you will head northwest up a steep slope as far as your legs will take you. This route is easy to follow, but not groomed and requires XC skis with metal edges.
