Mtn_Martin published ESWA VWR Patrol 6/20/25. The Trail Was Clean and in Good shape. I Bushwacked Around the Far Side of the Larger Lake to Check for Campsites or trash. it Looked Good..7 Miles from the Silverthorne Trailhead, a New Replacement Bridge Had Been built. The Builders Left a Large Pile of New Leftover Bridge Redwood Lumber Just Off the trail. They’re Large Pieces of Redwood Lumber and Would Probably Need a Horse or Mule to Pack Them out. They Take Away from the Feeling of Being in the Midst of nature. I Have a Photo of it If Someone Would Like to See it There Was a Group of 8 People Next to the Water at the East End of the Larger Lily Pad Lake. They Had Three (3) Dogs Off leash. The Dogs Were Running in and Out of the Water and All Over That Terrain in That area. I Walked Around the Far Side of That Lake to Look for Trash or campsites. As I Moved Along the Edge of the Lake in the Direction of That Group, Two of the Dogs Came After Me, Barking aggressively. They Were Large Dogs, Larger Than a German Shepard. The Owners Were Able to Call Away One of the Dogs, But the Last One Kept Moving Back and Forth Across My Path, Barking and Almost Growling, Keeping Me from Moving forward. The Owners Tried to Call the Dog back. I Was About 30’ from them. However, the Dog Did Not Respond to them. One Owner Finally Came to the Dog and Pulled it away. I Shared with the Group That Dogs Had to Be on leashes. They Acknowledged That and Did nothing. So, Then I Asked If They Had leashes. They Responded That They Did and Did nothing. So, Then I Said I’ll wait. After That, They Finally Went to Their Pack and Pulled Out Leashes and Leashed Their dogs. After I Got Past Them, a Family Group of Nine with Young Children, Not Far from Them, Thanked Me Multiple times. I Am Guessing the Dogs May Have Confronted them. That Family Group of Nine Then Asked Me to Take a Picture of the Group for Them, and They Again Thanked Me profusely
